Dyneema ropes are made of Dyneema fibers, which are one of the toughest fibers available across the world. These ropes have excellent properties when it comes to weight, UV stability, strength, tension fatigue, abrasion, safety and bending fatigue. Dyneema ropes are extremely compact and have a unique coating. This coating offers enhanced abrasion resistance and shape stability that ensure longer working life. The extraordinary strength, uniformity and durability of Dyneema comes from comes from DSM's patented fibres.

At Sydney Rope, we offer Dyneema SK75, which is made from the ultra-high molecular-weight polyethylene. This is an extremely low-stretch, high-strength rope. Dyneema floats on water and is tougher than a steel cable. It is also extremely resilient to abrasion. These ropes are commonly used for replacing steel cables when weight becomes an issue. They also make an excellent choice for winch cables. Right from being used as winch replacement ropes to offshore applications, Dyneema ropes can be used for numerous purposes.

Following are some of the major points of Dyneema ropes, which cannot be ignored:

  • Chemical resistant ropes, which do not deteriorate over time

  • UV resistant ropes that withstand harsh terrains or tough usage

  • Unlike wire ropes, it will not curl, splinter or kink and also floats on water

  • Significantly stronger than the steel ropes of the same diameter

Made using breakthrough technology, Dyneema not only solves the weight issue associated with the wire ropes, but also offers excellent safety.
